Are stainless steel fidget rings good quality?
For daily wear, yes. Stainless steel is harder than silver, doesn't tarnish, and survives water without any care. What it doesn't have is the weight or the smoothness of spin you get from sterling silver, and it can't be resized. It's a genuine trade-off rather than a lesser version.
Will a stainless steel ring turn my finger green?
No. Green marks come from copper in cheap alloys, usually brass or plated base metal. Our rings are stainless steel and nickel free, so they're safe for sensitive skin and won't discolour it.
Can I shower and swim with a stainless steel fidget ring?
Yes. That's the main reason people choose metal over sterling silver or gold vermeil. Water, soap, sweat and chlorine won't damage it. Rinse and dry it afterwards if the spinning band feels gritty.
What's the difference between a stainless steel and a sterling silver fidget ring?
Price, weight and durability. Stainless steel costs a fraction as much, survives anything, and never tarnishes. Sterling silver is heavier, spins more smoothly, can be resized, and holds resale value. Neither is better. It depends on whether you want something durable or something lasting.
What size should I order?
Use our sizing guide to measure at home. If you're between sizes, size up, because the spinning band adds friction that makes a snug fit uncomfortable. Stainless steel can't be resized, so getting this right matters more than with silver. If you're unsure, choose an adjustable open-band style.
Do the gold and rose gold ones wear off?
The coloured finishes are ion plated onto stainless steel, which is far more durable than standard plating. With daily wear the colour holds well, though heavy abrasion over a long period can eventually dull it. Silver and black tones show wear least.
Is a stainless steel fidget ring a good first one to try?
It's the one we'd suggest if you haven't worn a spinner ring before. Finding out whether the motion helps you is a much easier decision at $30 than at $200. Many customers start here and move to sterling silver once they know they'll use it.
